Although originally reserved at Huertas, we actually stayed in the Calle Mayor apartment and were very satisfied. The apartment was clean, well equipped and centrally located for sightseeing, with shops and metro close by. Even though it is situated on a main road in the centre of Madrid, being on the 5th floor (with functioning lift) with the bedrooms to the rear it is relatively quiet. |

Where do I begin? I´m going to share the pros and cons about renting this apartment. It is centrally located, easily accessible to most tourist attractions, and within a few blocks of metro stations. The apartment was clean, nice and comfortable with its kitchen, washer-dryer, and 1.5 bathrooms. However, it´s a bit noisy, as it is overlooking one of the main streets in Madrid. I also would like to admonish prospective renters that if you are accustomed to GOOD customer service, don´t expect much here. The apartment manager, whom we dealt with, was very abrasive and impatient. We felt that he was not accomodating. He rushed through our requests and made us feel like we were a bother to him. |

La ubicación excelente. La limpieza del apartamento también muy buena y el trato recibido por el señor que nos atendió al llegar también fue excelente y, aunque ya conocíamos Madrid, nos explicó como llegar a los sitios más importantes. |

Aunque la ubicación y el estado del piso nos pareció en líneas generales excelentes, no le damos esa calificación por una serie de detalles que creemos que son fáciles de solucionar y podrían hacer que se llegara a esa calificación: Dormitorio Pequeño: Realmente esa habitación es para una persona, no para dos. Además, se echa en falta al menos una cómoda o armario pequeño para poner las cosas. Baño Principal: Tiene poca luz, faltándole principalmente en el espejo para facilitar la limpieza de cara, afeitado, maquillaje, etc. Además, intentamos probar el jacuzzi y el ruido que empezó a hacer antes de salir los chorros nos hizo abandonar la idea. Cocina: Falta una tostadora. Nos pareció increíble que con todo lo que había, no hubiera una simple tostadora. Conexión Internet en el piso: El hecho de dar un USB limita la conexión a una sola persona, mientras que con un router wi-fi pueden conectarse varias personas al mismo tiempo desde distintos sitios de la casa. De resto, a pesar de estos aspectos que hacen que baje la calidad de la estancia, el piso de verdad que nos gustó mucho, mucho. Su ubicación es genial (eso de tener el Mercado de San Miguel al lado ayuda mucho!!!), se agradece mucho el detalle de los libros y demás. |

The apartment combines the restored building’s classical structure with a tasteful, modern distribution. The large living room has two distinct zones: a TV area with a sofa and a double armchair, and a dining area with a table for four and wonderful views from its bay window. There is also a large bookcase and a comfortable chaise lounge. The master bedroom has a double bed. The second bedroom has two single beds. There are two bathrooms, both accessible through a corridor that connects to the kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with modern appliances: a glass stove-top oven, washer-dryer and all other necessarily items.

Located on the most spectacular street of Madrid's historic district (Calle Mayor 59), this stylish two-bedroom apartment is surrounded in all directions by endless cultural and leisure possibilities and must-see spots (such as the Royal Palace, the Almudena Cathedral or the Sabatini Gardens).
Right behind the apartment (just meters away), you will enjoy Plaza Mayor; an obligatory attraction for all Madrid visitors. The oldest spot in Madrid, it is a charming cobblestone square with beautiful arcs and authentic shops and bars. It is also here where the main Madrid Tourist Information Office is located, an essential stop for any tourist in Madrid.
A pleasant 5-minute stroll from the apartment will take you to Puerta del Sol (metro Sol), the epicenter of Madrid and Spain’s “zero kilometer”. Also just a few meters away is the lively La Latina district, famous for its tapas bars and trendy restaurants. If it’s shopping that you’re after, the touristic Arenal, Preciados and Gran Vía streets will offer you all sorts of shops and services.

An initial 10% non-refundable deposit is required to complete your booking. The outstanding balance and a 30 EURO cleaning fee are due on arrival. The establishment does accept credit cards, but with an additional 3% of commission. The establishment will also ask for a refundable 100 EURO security deposit. This amount will be returned upon check-out after assessing the apartment.
Remember that after arriving to Madrid and before heading to the apartment, you must call to confirm your check in time. The number to call will be provided in the reservation confirmation email.
