Planning a trip to Madrid in the summer with 37 degree heat, our main priority in searching for a flat was that it had a pool. We were excited by this flat as it advertised a “private” pool with “private” in bold letters. We were very disappointed when we arrived and found out the pool is not private, (it’s shared by the building) and b) it was closed! On the other hand, the “private” terrace was indeed private as it was ours to use exclusively, and open. Positives: 1) it’s a beautiful flat with everything you need for a short stay in Madrid (including cooking materials, although it could use a kettle) 2) the flat is close to 3 metro stations so getting to the city centre is easy 3) there are grocery stores close by (Dia) to stock up on suppliers 4) The terrace is large and gets a lot of sun to enjoy (however the air conditioner needed repairs and had to be turned off when using the terrace due to the very loud noise – I’m surprised the neighbours didn’t complain). 5) Alvaro was very accommodating meeting us close to 1am after our flight was delayed and letting us check out late. Additionally, he provided some information on the area. 6) wifi was available even though the ad noted it wasn’t Negatives: 1) I feel that there is false advertisement around the pool and we should have been notified that it was closed. We were charged more than most comparable properties, no doubt because of the availability of the pool (including flats closer to the city centre). 2) the

Incredible apartment. The brood terrace was everything I was looking for. Al was great in checking me in and helping orienting me to Madrid. I will definitely like to stay here again.

Great location minutes from museums and bars. ApartinMadrid offer an excellent service with friendly and informative staff. Atocha attic provides an excellent base for enjoying everything on offer in a great city.

We stayed for a week in the Attocha attic. This is a very pleasant and easy appartment with a nice roof terrace. It is a modern appartment with every thing you need. It's been guarded 24/7, so you feel really safe. We found the location very good: near the Attocha station and all the museums and other high lights of Madrid on walking distance.

The apartment was good - clean and tidy and just as shown on the web page. The location is a little off pitch - although very close to the Sophia, Prado and other attractions such as Retiro and the Botanic Gardens and close to Atocha station - it is in an untidy area and my children did not like coming back at night. The roof terrace is a real bonus especially on a warm evening. The pool was not in evidence on our visit (April).

We had a very nice stay at the Atocha attic and we liked Madrid very much! It was so pleasant to have our own home in Madrid and not stay in hotel. The apartment is well situated in the center (not in deep of the main center) but it is close to get everywhere by foot especially to Prado. It is quiet locality very close to Atocha railway and metro station or the second metro station Embajadores. There are also a few shops near.

Lovely apartment, well equipped, just round the corner from Atocha Renfe and Embajadores and the Reina Sofía Museum. The terrace is a real plus. However, the description should make people more aware that this apartment is totally open plan, including the washing facilities, so if there are three of you you need to be comfortable with that, as there is absolutely no possibility of any privacy. Handover on arrival and departure very poor, but probably because the person we should have spoken to was on holiday.

Very modern apartment, quiet location and yet it is very near to Attocha Station, Prado and Renia Sofia. Great base for discovering Madrid. Lovely roof terrace with sun shade ideal for breakfast or early evening drinks - gets very hot in the day.

We had a warm welcome from Al, and enjoyed the feeling of space in the apartment. The apartment was of a pleasing design and of good quality. The major drawback for us was the lack of a kettle. The apartment could be further enhanced with additional sharp knives, pans and tea towels. The shower head did keep falling off the holder, which did not inconvenience us too much. It is a shame our stay was in the winter, as it would have been a pleasure to be able to use the terrace and swimming pool. Thank you for arranging our stay at Atocha Attic. Great apartment that came exactly as advertised. The neighborhood maybe wasn´t as active as I expected, but it is still quite nice, safe, pleasant and close to everything a tourist would want to do. All told it was a great place and worth the price.
